Casino operator Jack Entertainment announced that they will begin the negotiations next month.
US.- Jack Cincinnati Casino announced that they will start contract negotiations early next month. According to its operator Jack Entertainment, its workers decided last month to join the International Union, Security, Police And Fire Professionals Of America.
WCPO-TV reported that the decision was the result of a two-year campaign, and it establishes that more than 700 employees, which represent more than half of the casino’s workforce, are members of the union. A spokesperson for Jack Entertainment, Gayle Joseph, said that they’re expecting a smooth transition for the Cincinnati casino until they can build a strong relationship with their current employees.
“Although we have not started the contract negotiations, we anticipate a smooth process and a successful outcome for all of us,” she added. The union was born after more than 150 workers won a settlement against the venue’s former management because they failed to pay the required overtime.
