Cascades Casino opened its doors
The Canadian Cascades Casino experienced its grand opening after only a year of construction.
Canada.- Gateway Casinos and Entertainment opened the Cascades Casino Penticton located in British Columbia on Wednesday morning. The US$25 million facility that is located in the South Okanagan Events Centre welcomed hundreds of visitors.
As reported by Tosoyoos Times, politicians from the local community as well as senior management with Gateway Casinos and Entertainment were present for the grand opening that included an extended tour of the new facility. “The goal was to create something special for every member of the family. We will have one of the largest payrolls of any business in Penticton. We’re proud of that,” said Michael Magnusson, general manager of Cascades Casino, who commented that they’ve hired over 150 employees and that number now rises to 340.
The 45,000 square feet gambling venue is set to feature 400 slot machines and gaming tables, including baccarat, roulette and blackjack. Additionally, a number of food and beverage and live entertainment options are included in Cascades Casino Penticton.
“Match is all about offering family fun. We want people to come in and enjoy some great food, but they can also sit back and relax and play a game of pool or shuffleboard or watch their favourite team on one of our televisions. We will offer a pressure-free environment, we want to make this place as non exclusive as possible,” he added.
