Caesars develops Japan team

As IR talks keep moving forward in the Asian country, the casino operator has appointed a head of Japan business development.

Japan.- Caesars Entertainment has announced the appointment of Yusuke Watanabe as the new head of Japan business development and vice president of Asia development. The company keeps showing its interest in an integrated resort license in Japan.

President of International Development of Caesars Entertainment, Steven Tight, told AGBrief that Watanabe is set to help localise the pursuit efforts towards an integrated resort in Japan. “Fundamentally, Caesars values the complementary capabilities Japanese partners bring to an investment consortium. Even though we travel to Japan quite frequently, it is important to maintain a constant dialogue with potential partners in Japan as our relationships progress,” he said.

Last month, MGM Resorts International announced its relocation from the current office in Akasaka to Otemachi, Tokyo and the opening of a brand new office in the central business district, which is scheduled to inaugurate today. Ed Bowers, MGM Resorts Japan Representative Officer and CEO, had commented: “Opening a new office in the heart of Tokyo’s business district and expanding our MGM Japan team reflect our strong commitment and determination. The new office will become our core hub as our team advances toward the realisation of a resort that is uniquely Japanese.”
