Bermuda hotel applies for casino license

The Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club would also host a casino if the government approves the project.

UK.- The Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club could also add a gaming salon to its services soon. The Bermuda company has reportedly applied to a casino license to become the first casino operator in the Caribbean island. The new Bermuda casino would begin its operations by next year.

The renowned company Century Casinos presented its casino project jointly with Hamilton Properties, the hotel’s owner. The Bermuda Casino Gaming Commission is holding a public hearing next September 22, where authorities will decide whether to approve the companies’ casino project or not.

The casino with approximately 12,000 square feet of gaming space will feature 17 gaming tables, 200 slot machines and an automated roulette machine on its main casino floor,” stated Century Casinos, as revealed by the specialist magazine, Travel Weekly. The magazine also explained that operators must present plans for the “structure, emergency procedures, hiring and marketing plans, financing and training programs.”

“Only at the conclusion of this final stage will a casino license be granted, permitting the offering of gaming to the public,” concluded Century Casinos.
